We believe that one of the best ways to keep your children healthy is to bring them in for regular checkups. Please call our office 2 weeks in advance so you may choose the date that best fits your needs. The list below is our recommended schedule for Well Child Visits. 

Checkup schedule.

  • Two weeks old.

    • Drinking breast milk or formula
    • Regarding faces

  • Two months old.

    • Immunizations: Pediarix (DTap, Hep B, polio), Hep B, PCV13, Rotavirus (oral)
    • Drinking breast milk or formula
    • Giving social smiles

  • Four months old.

    • Immunizations: Pediarix (DTap, Hep B, polio), PCV13, Rotavirus
    • Drinking breast milk or formula; formula fed infants begin rice cereal
    • Rolls front to back

  • Six months old.

    • Immunizations: Pediarix (DTap, Hep B, polio), Hep B, PCV13, Rotavirus (oral)
    • Eats solid food including pureed meats, strained or mashed fruits and vegetables
    • Sits without assistance

  • Nine months old.

    • Cruises, says “Ma Ma” and “Da Da” (non-specific)

  • One year old.

    • Immunizations: MMRV, PCV13, Hep A
    • Begins to drink whole milk
    • Walks, says “Ma Ma” and “Da Da” (specific)

  • 15 months old.

    • Immunizations: DTap, Hib
    • Says 5 to 10 words

  • 18 months old.

    • Immunizations: Hep A
    • Says 10 to 25 words

  • Two years old.

    • Says greater than 50 words, fifty percent of words intelligible to strangers

  • Three years old.

    • Speaks in three- to four-word phrases, greater than 500 word vocabulary, 75 percent of speech understandable to strangers, copies a circle

  • Four years old.

    • Immunizations: MMRV, DTaP-Polio**
    • Creates 4 to 5 word phrases, speech understandable to strangers

  • Five years old.

    • Speaks in complete sentences, copies triangle
